Partnerships with our sponsors play a vital role in allowing us to create performing arts of the highest quality. Our sponsors collaborate with us to create a vibrant, bold and emotionally meaningful arts scene in the city and the region – for children, adolescents, and adults.

The benefits of sponsorship

We have an annual audience of 300 000 physical visitors to the house, and around 850 000 to our website opera.se. The demographics of our audience is broad, influential and have purchasing power.

You can sponsor and collaborate with us in several different ways.

The level of exposure and activities depends on the type of sponsorship that fits your needs, and how we structure our agreement together. We look forward to discussing your organisation’s specific needs and desires regarding content to tailor-make an agreement that suits.

A creative meeting-place

As a sponsor you have access to the opera house as a meeting space. In this inspiring and attractive environment, we can help create activities for your clients or other special events according to your wishes.

Discounts and offers

Discounts and offers for your staff are a good complement to stimulate personal development and well-being. Premiere tickets and first-option booking to popular shows are also part of our sponsorship packages. And of course, your company will get visual exposure in our foyer, printed programmes and on our website.

Gala evenings

Each year we invite our sponsors to an entertaining gala – where representatives from business, culture and politics can mingle, enjoy the refreshments, and experience a unique performance. For our Main Sponsors and Opera Sponsors we also offer an annual ambassador conference where we invite representatives from each company.

The opera all to yourselves

Larger commitments bring greater benefits. For example, the the Volvo Group has followed the Göteborg Opera’s journey for 27 years, and they fully-book one show per year for Volvo staff only – something which is greatly appreciated by their staff. In 2021 CEO Martin Lundstedt treated the audience to his cover version of Håkan Hellström’s song Valborg before the curtain was raised for the musical Kärlek skonar ingen, based around music by Hellström.

It’s these one-of-a-kind live moments that can only happen in an opera house.
