Elisar Riddelin

Elisar Riddelin is currently pursuing a master’s degree in conducting at The Sibelius Academy in Helsinki under the guidance of Sakari Oramo. He previously studied in Sweden at The Royal College of Musik Stockholm with B. Tommy Andersson and in Germany at Hochschule für Music Würzburg with Professor Ari Rasilainen. Riddelin has worked with orchestras such as Rheinland-Phalz Philharmonics, Swedish Radio Orchestra, Hoffer Philharmonics, Norrköping Symphony, Gävle symphony, Västerås-, Dala Sinfonietta and Vaasa-, Mikkeli- and Jyväskylä city orchestras. He founded the Caprico Orchestra which focuses on contemporary music and has premiered over 20 new works for chamber orchestra from young Finnish composers. Highlights of the next season include debut with Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Joensuu City Orchestra and Lappeenranta city orchestra. He has been recipient of scholarships and awards, including Young Musician of the Year by Pro Musica Foundation and grants from the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
