Silvia Aymonio, Italian costume designer who, after working at the Festival dei due Mondi with Diane Von Fürstenberg in 1985, entered the Tirelli tailor's shop where she worked on the costumes for Il nome della Rosa film production. Aymonino remained at the Tirelli tailor's shop until 1994, supporting Tirelli first and then D’Alberti in the direction of the shop. In those years she worked with major Italian and international costume designers, such as Piero Tosi, Maurizio Millenotti, Paul Brown and Pier Luigi Pizzi, supporting them in the staging of shows or sets. In the following decade, she specialized in opera productions, touring the most important Italian and international theaters as an assistant, mainly for Hugo de Ana and Giovanna Buzzi. She also worked on film productions as a costume/wardrobe supervisor. Following the experience gained in international cinema and in the collaboration with Marco Balich, she began her career in the field of major events, which led her to work at the Olympic Ceremonies of Turin 2006, London 2012, Sochi 2014, Rio 2016, and the XXX Universiade in Naples in 2019. In 2020, Aymonino won the 39th edition of the Franco Abbiati Prize in the category of Best Costumes for Agnese by Ferdinando Paër.
