Alejandro da Rocha is a Galician-Portuguese sound artist, composer and producer based in Barcelona.
With a background in Fine Arts, which he studied in Galicia, Portugal and France, he initially approached music from an installation art perspective, alongside his early experiences as a DJ, producer and composer, as well as in collaborations with performing arts and video projects.
As a composer and sound designer, he has worked with dance and theatre companies such as KOR’SIA, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, Hessisches Staatsballett, NDT2, St. Gallen Dance Company, Opéra Grand Avignon, Richard Mascherin, Paloma Muñoz and laSADCUM. His works have been performed in countries including Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Monaco, Italy, Switzerland, Bulgaria and Malta.
