Nancy Bryant lives in Vancouver, Canada and works widely designing for dance, theatre, opera and film. Bryant’s collaborations with Pite include Body and Soul and The Seasons’ Canon (Paris Opera); Partita, Parade and Plot Point (Netherlands Dance Theater); Angels’ Atlas (National Ballet of Canada/Zurich Opera Ballet); Assembly Hall, Revisor, Betroffenheit and The Tempest Replica (Kidd Pivot); Flight Pattern/Light of Passage (Royal Ballet/Norwegian National Ballet); Frontier (Ballet British Columbia/Gothenburg Opera). Most recently, Nancy collaborated with Crystal Pite and Simon McBurney on Figures in Extinction [1.0] and [3.0] (Netherlands Dance Theatre and Theatre Complicité) which premiered in Manchester, UK.
The first costume design created for Pite’s choreography was for Ballet British Columbia in 1996 for a piece called Moving Day.
