Spencer Dickhaus

Spencer Dickhaus is a freelance dancer, choreographer, repetiteur, and teacher based in The Hague, Netherlands. He graduated with a BFA from The Juilliard School in 2012. After graduation, Spencer joined Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT), where he performed for seven seasons (2012-2019) in works by choreographers Crystal Pite, Hofesh Shechter, Jiří Kylián, Alexander Ekman, Franck Chartier & Gabriela Carrizo, Sharon Eyal & Gai Behar, and Johan Inger.

As a freelance artist, he has performed in productions including Khôra by Astrid Boons, Bird Dog by Marina Mascarell, as well as Grand Finale and Clowns by Hofesh Shechter. He has also served as a guest rehearsal director with NDT2 during the 2021-2022 season. Since 2019, Spencer has worked with Crystal Pite as an assistant, helping to restage her works internationally.

Additionally, Spencer has created a series of solo works titled Practice I-III and developed the piece Recess (2022), which toured the Netherlands with the Moving Futures Festival
