Waltz with the Beast

Choreography by Tom Weinberger

Tom Weinberger creates works in the border between theater and dance, often with surreal and absurdist elements. He uses spoken text, sound effects and projections to enhance his scenes, in a fragmented flow with ironic flashes. A mosaic of sharp contrasts: strong physical expressions, love, warmth, sarcasm and chaos.

Press quotes

“An extroverted, fragmented story about not letting life lie there, waiting to be lived.” Aftonbladet
“The dancers shine with resilience, focus and commitment.” Tanz
“Weinberger and the dancers play effortlessly with the present, with roles, with us in the audience. I think it's brilliant.” Borås Tidning
“Musically driven, distinctly visual and with an expression as powerful as precise in the slightest movement. And which when they become violent still always contain a measure of complexity that gives a kind of hope and warmth.” Svenska Dagbladet
“A rebellious work that plays with its own form and which in a postmodernist spirit refers directly to the situation that is taking place on stage by adding multiple levels.” Svenska Dagbladet
