Join us for a celebration of opera’s most poignant goodbyes, performed by the Göteborg Opera’s soloists, chorus, and orchestra.

Long drawn-out farewells, dramatic death-scenes, comic misunderstandings and bittersweet partings – opera has an abundance of leave-takings to explore. The Göteborg Opera’s soloists, chorus, and orchestra will get your emotions soaring, raise your festive spirit, and allow the music take flight in this magnificent ‘au revoir’!

This concert is our final performance for the season, after which the auditorium doors will temporarily close for essential stage renovations.

We look forward to welcoming you back after the summer!

Before the concert

From 17:15 before the concert, the Göteborg Opera’s Childrens’ and Youth Choirs will sing in the foyer. The bar opens at 17:00.

After the concert – stick around!

It’s hard to say goodbye – so after the concert musical artists and musicians will play in the foyer and the bar will remain open.

Food and drink

In addition to the à la carte menu, the restaurant will also be serving the Opera's large shrimp sandwich on Danish rye bread with lemon and horseradish mayonnaise, egg, tomato and lemon.
