Since 2023, Fauna Buvat has served as the principal flute at the Gothenburg Opera. Educated in France, she studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon in the class of Julien Beaudiment before developing strong orchestral experience within prestigious French ensembles, notably as principal flute.
A multifaceted artist, she also explores other sonic worlds as the flutist of the Swedish band Fauna, a project blending organic textures with psychedelic rhythms.
At the crossroads of tradition and experimentation, Fauna Buvat forges a singular path in which the flute becomes an instrument of storytelling, trance, and contrast, moving from the intensity of the opera pit to the hypnotic energy of the nocturnal stage.
