Welcome to a season of encounters between past and present, between the familiar and the unknown. This season reflects our commitment to long-term collaborations, while also welcoming choreographers to create with us for the first time. We continue to take risks and try new forms.

The season will begin with a world premiere outside Gothenburg when we perform at Theater Pfalzbau in Ludwigshafen with a new peice by Sarah Balzinger and Isaiah Wilson. See you Sunday explores repetition and fragmented identities via their physical and precise movement language, combined with low-key humor.

In Gothenburg, the dance season will open with See you Sunday & The Promise, a programme combining the above-mentioned world premiere with a new piece by Felix Landerer. The Promise is a reflective and clear-eyed exploration of time, presence and the life’s fragility.

Two familiar duos will then return to our stage for Bare State, a programme characterised by physical presence, co-creation and unique choreographic vocabularies. Imre and Marne van Opstal will create their third piece for the company, deepening our creative collaboration in step with their growing international involvement. Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber will also present their second piece for the company.

Near the end of the season, a number of favorites will return to the Main Stage: Alexander Ekman’s Hammer, and the acclaimed double-bill Past the point, with pieces by Botis Seva and Marcos Morau.

In spring 2027, Parisian audiences will get the opportunity to experience Hammer for an extended period – a milestone both for the touring life of this piece, and for the company's international presence. But the tour will not end there. In addition to Ludwigshafen and Paris, the company will also visit Tenerife, London, Cologne, Mulhouse and Madrid.

Join us for a season that carries us forward with curiosity and the joy of discovery!
