Our organisation
The Göteborg Opera is a wholly-owned company within the Västra Götaland Region, and has 500 full-time employees in 90 different professions. We present around 350 performances per year, for around a quarter of a million visitors. Our vision is to be one of the leading opera houses in Northern Europe.

Accounts
The accounts department includes finances, payroll, procurement and archiving.

Costume, make-up and wardrobe
From hats to shoes, wigs, silicone noses, jewelry and all stage costumes.

Facility Management
We supply the whole organisation with the working conditions needed to provide the best possible experience for our guests.

Human resources
The role of the HR department is to drive business development through its staff.

Stage
Our inspicients, scenmästare and stage crew make sure that every cue on stage happens at the right moment.

IS/IT
The IS/IT department provides modern administrative support for all employees and a rational infrastructure with the architecture and information model which assists in allowing the Göteborg Opera to be a leading opera house.

Project management
We manage stage productions and tours.

Restaurant
We prepare and serve food and beverages for both our guests and our staff.

Technical production / Regional tours
We are responsible for ensuring a production meets the artistic team’s vision, and is properly stored after the final performance.

Sales, sponsorship and communication
We are the link between the public and what the Opera house offers.

Lighting, sound and video
These departments consist of professional technicians who are responsible for all stage tech.

Workshops and construction
Around 30 people work in our workshops – with construction, metalwork, carpentry, set painting, fabrics and props.
