We are seeking a Principal 2nd Violin for the Göteborg Opera Orchestra. This is a permanent full-time position with an initial trial period starting autumn 2026 or according to agreement.
Audition, 25 May 2026
The audition will take place at the Göteborg Opera.
Compulsory pieces:
- Mozart’s Violin concerto no. 4 or 5, first movement with cadenza
- First movement with cadenza from the violin concerto by either Brahms, Tchaikovsky or Sibelius.

Apply no later than 1 May 2026. Depending on the number of applicants, a first selection may take place based on merits and experience.
