Marika Feinsilber is set and costume designer educated at Stockholm University, Central School of art and Design in London, the Dramatic Institute in Stockholm and as scholar at V.S.M.U. (the state set design education) in Bratislava, Slovakia. After the training she has made set designs and costume designs for around 100 productions. She has worked mainly with newly written and classic drama, but also with dance and opera. She was employed at Uppsala Stadsteater 1984-87 and since then she has worked at city and regional theaters around the country. In recent years, she has mainly created set and costume design at the Dramaten (The Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm) and at the Vadstena Academy. Her latest production (2022) was Det stora oväsendet for Malmö Opera, directed by Clara Svärd. In 2015, she was awarded the Medea prize for her work with scenography. In Gothenburg, she has worked several times at Gothenburg City Theatre, but Mytomania is her first production at Gothenburg Opera.
