Eugenia Babich has worked at the Göteborg Opera Choir since 2022, where she has had solo assignments such as a cover for Kate Pinkerton in Giacomo Puccini's Madame Butterfly (2025).
Babich regularly participates in concerts as a freelance soloist. She has performed at the Oslo Operaball (2025) and the international festival "Inizio" in Lithuania (2024). She collaborates frequently with the Church of Sweden and has participated as an alto soloist in works such as Mozart's Requiem, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Rossini's Stabat Mater, Duruflé's Requiem and Rachmaninov's Vigilia.
In 2019, she made her debut as Mamma Lucia in Pietro Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana at the Teatro Antico di Taormina in Italy. She has also sung the role of Olga in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin with the Bel Sound Orchestra in Moscow (2016).
Eugenia has been awarded several prizes in international singing competitions, including. second prize in the “Golden Voices” in Warsaw and third prize in the “Viva Calisia” in Kalisz, Poland. In 2022, she won first prize and the audience prize in the Wagner Singing Competition in Gothenburg, which meant a Bayreuth scholarship. The following year, she participated as a scholarship singer in the international concert in the Europasaal during the Bayreuth Festival (2023).
She has also been a finalist in the second international Virgilijus Noreika competition in Lithuania and a semi-finalist in competitions such as the Wilhelm Stenhammar International Music Competition (2022), the Zinka Milanov Competition in Croatia (2022), the Vincerò World Opera Competition (2021) and the Belvedere Singing Competition in Latvia (2018). In 2019, she participated in the sixth season of the television competition Big Opera in Moscow.
In 2024, she was awarded the Mary von Sydow music scholarship.
