The Polish soprano Ania Jeruc studied at Państwowa Szkoła Muzyczna in Suwałki and at the Faculty of Vocal Studies and Acting in Wrocław with E. Sąsiadek, where she obtained a master’s degree in music. She has also attended masterclasses and courses in Hamburg, Vienna, Warsaw and London, including at the National Opera Studio.
Jeruc made her professional debut in 2012 as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at Wexford Festival Opera. She has since sung Violetta Valéry in La traviata at Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Opera North, Opera på Skäret, Dorset Opera Festival and Wexford Festival Opera; Giovanna in Giovanna d’Arco at Copenhagen Opera Festival, Malmö Opera and St. Galler Festspiele; and the title role in Maria Stuarda at Finnish National Opera. She has also sung Elvira in Ernani and Hélène in Le duc d’Albe at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, Mathilde in Guillaume Tell at Polish National Opera, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with English Touring Opera and the title role in Halka on tour in the UK.
Other engagements include Musetta in La bohème and Hanna in Straszny dwór at Polish National Opera, Praskovia Osipovna and the Pretzel Seller in Nos at Teatro Real in Madrid and Komische Oper Berlin, and First Lady in Die Zauberflöte at Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. As a concert soloist, she has appeared at the Royal Festival Hall and the Royal Albert Hall in London, and with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Swedish Chamber Orchestra.
