A singer and actress with a career spanning six decades, Ewa Roos—who was born in Borås and made her breakthrough as a singer in the 1960s—is today a beloved figure in musicals, revues, and comedy on stages across Sweden. She has received two Guldmasken awards for her stage performances and, in recent years, has reached a whole new audience through Melodifestivalen with the songs "Rena rama ding dong" and "Länge leve livet" (performed alongside Eva Rydberg).
Ewa Roos appeared in Singin’ at the Oscar Theatre in 2007, though in the role of Dora Bailey. The role of Miss Dinsmore marks her debut at the Gothenburg Opera.
