Ole Forsberg

Actor, director and musical artist

Ole Forsberg was educated at Teaterhögskolan in Stockholm and has worked as an actor and directorat many Swedish theatres. He was a member of the permanent ensemble at Kulturhuset stadsteatern for 27 years, when he was also artistic director for Klara Soppteater. His roles have included Kolygin in Three Sisters, Smerdjakov in The Brothers Karamazov and Master Jaques in The Miser.

 

Ole has also performed in musical roles such as Renaud and Georges in La Cage aux Folles and Karpati and Doolittle in My Fair Lady at Kulturhuset stadsteatern. At the Göteborg Opera Ole has perfomed as Dr. Grimwig in Oliver! and Morbror Daniel in Kristina från Duvemåla - a role he also performed at Cirkus in Stockholm.  

 

Ole received Gustav Frödingsällskapets medal of honour for his program Fröding och jag (Fröding and I) as well as his interpretation of Gustav Fröding in Marionetteaterns production of Kärleksköparen, Fröding naken

In 2021–2022 Forsberg performed in I ett fält av guld and The last dream of William Shakespeare at på Örebro Teater.
