Àngela Boix

Assisting Choreographer

Àngela Boix, dancer and movement assistant, graduated as a contemporary dance performer from the Institut del Teatre of Barcelona.

In 2010, she joined IT Dansa, directed by Catherine Allard. Afterwards, she became a member of Noord Nederlandse Dans in the Netherlands, under the direction of Stephen Shropshire, and in 2013 she moved to the United Kingdom to work with National Dance Company Wales, where she remained for the following five seasons.

She has alternated her work in repertory companies with several independent projects, such as Moaré (winner of the Institut del Teatre Dance Award in 2017 and premiered at the Grec Festival in 2018), as well as work as an actress in Lady Macbeth by Ferran Madico.

Since 2018, she has been a member of La Veronal, directed by Marcos Morau. She has performed as a dancer in the works Pasionaria, Millennials, Voronia, Into the Little Hill, Sonoma, Opening Night, and Firmamento.

In addition to her role as a dancer, she is also part of the company’s production team. She also works as a movement director for audiovisual projects, a choreography assistant, and a pedagogue.
