Tali Zavilevich is a choreographer, dancer, teacher, and practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method for the last 20 years. She has created site-specific performances, events, and choreographies in different types of settings. Her work addresses human communication, and behavioral patterns.
"When I create site specific performances, I am interested in relationships. I experiment with the relationship between context and environment and the specific site, and explore their boundaries. This enables spectators to become mindful of their surroundings through a new lens. It breaks certain habits and creates new connections or new associations with the place that they know or thought they knew well."
During the last two years Tali has founded, curated, and produced a communal art festival in Tel -Aviv, 'ArtTour' Festival 2021-2022, which explores the connection between environment, people, and art. 60 artists presented various disciplines in the public space that presents site specific dance and visual art projects in various relationships and closeness levels between the spectator and the performer.
Tali Zavilevich has a BA from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem, and a BA in Economics from Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and graduated with an MFA in Theater Performing Studies from Tel Aviv University.
