About Cold Song
Spanish choreographer and multidisciplinary artist Marcos Morau often creates wild, entertaining works infused with absurd humour – and this creation is no exception. The title Cold song refers to the music, which is based on an aria from Henry Purcell’s opera King Arthur. In this piece the dancers adopt different characters, while the set consists of a mysterious box that hides all kinds of fantastical contraptions. Both the dancers and the set are transformed as Cold Song carries us across the boundary between reality and theatrical magic.
