Peter Kajlinger

Baritone

Peter Kajlinger is one of Scandinavia's most sought-after baritone singers. Known for his musicality, solid singing technique and strong stage presence, he is in demand by conductors and directors both in Sweden and abroad.

During his studies at the Stockholm Academy of Opera, he appeared at the Royal Stockholm Opera in roles such as Moralés (Carmen) and Leporello (Don Giovanni) and in connection with his graduation he was engaged by Drottningholm Palace Theatre for the title role in Salieri's Falstaff.

During the years 1995–2003, Peter was part of the ensemble at the Staatsoper Stuttgart, where he performed over twenty roles in collaboration with directors such as Kusej, Schaaf, Berghaus, Neuenfels, Breth and Wieler.

Other notable roles include Marcello, the title role in Le nozze di Figaro (Göteborg Opera 2000), Dr. Treves in The Elephant Man, Tonio in I Pagliacci, Pizarro (Fidelio, directed by Tobias Kratzer), Captain (The Greek Passion), Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola, Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Royal Swedish Opera and Jack Torrance in the Swedish premiere of Paul Moravec's The Shining at Malmö Opera (autumn 2026).
