Wiktor Sundqvist

Tenor Wiktor Sundqvist graduated from the Academy of Opera in Stockholm 2015. In recent seasons he has sung Ferrando in Così fan tutte at Folkoperan in Stockholm and Uppsala Stadsteater, Kaj in Benjamin Staern's opera Snödrottningen (The Snow Queen) at the Royal Opera, Sonen (the son) in Ålevangeliet at Folkoperan and Atis in Joseph Kraus's Proserpin at Confidencen Opera & Music Festival. Wiktor has also sung Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni at the Norrland Opera and participated in the Kamraternas production of Antonia Walpurgis Talestri, Queen of the Amazons in the role of Orontes. Wiktor has participated in the world premiere of Sven-David Sandström's Livets Bok (The book of Life) and in the youth opera Hion om natten, both together with the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra. At Malmö Opera, Wiktor Sundqvist has sung Kaj in the world premiere of Snödrottningen, Harlekin and the Soldier in Viktor Ullman's Der Kaiser von Atlantis oder Die Tod-Verweigerun and Ahmed in Tusen och en natt (Thousand and One Nights) by Daniel Fjellström. At Folkoperan, Wiktor has previously sung Juan in Don Quixote and Pang in Turandot.

He has guested at Wermland Opera in the role of Alfred in Die Fledermaus and Läckö Slottsteater as Narciso in Rossini's The Turk in Italy and appeared in Piteå Kammaropera's newly written musical drama Stilla min Eld. At Gothenburg Opera, Wiktor has previously sung Janek in Janáček's The Makropulos Affair.
