Cole Porter was an unrivalled hit-maker. He took the world by storm with over 800 songs and musicals such as Kiss Me, Kate and Anything Goes. Porter was born into a wealthy family and lived a life of luxury and excess, but was forced to hide his sexual orientation. He died alone, a severe alcoholic.
In tribute to his legend, Göteborg Opera musical artist Lars Hjertner and pianist/arranger Per Larsson have created a musical revue based on a selection of Porter’s songs, excerpts from his letters, biographical details and a great deal of gossip.
